My Process
I see myself as a field guide. I help people to better understand their current landscape and identify options to explore.
Every journey is unique. I don’t have a predetermined path set out. I’ll listen, ask questions, and we’ll exchange stories. I’ll reflect back insights I hear from you. I’ll share some of my own.
From what we discover together, I will suggest tools and practices to try.
You may be surprised that you provide many of the key ideas to move yourself forward.
In fact, I believe the answers we need are primarily already inside of us. We just require tools, knowledge, time, and dedicated effort to uncover them.
We’ll come up with first actionable steps to build a more balanced, sustainable, and meaning-filled life.
Coaching Format
While adaptable for each person, coaching sessions are generally 50 minutes.
After each visit I will provide you with session notes and follow up exercises and information.
Depending on your location, and your preference, coaching can take place by phone, video call, or in person.
Personal change and forming new habits take time. For this reason, I encourage anyone starting coaching to plan on at least 3 monthly sessions.
However, the exact frequency and the number of sessions will depend on your personal goals.
For instance, someone building executive function skills may want to meet weekly to better integrate new planning and organizational techniques into their daily habits.
Another person may find monthly meetings give them a chance to internalize ideas and complete the discovery exercises.

I am not a licensed therapist or doctor. Coaching does not replace the kind of training and expertise a medical professional provides in cases of serious trauma, mental or physical illness.
Though coaching may not replace medical advice and treatment, I believe from my own journey, that we can do a great deal on our own.

Individualize coaching, though very helpful, is not the only option. Your recovery, your healing, your ability to change, does not depend on me, nor any other coach or healing professional.
I recovered from severe Long Covid/Dysautonomia with very little out-of-pocket costs by utilizing an inexpensive video program and free resources.
There is a lot of great content available for free via YouTube, podcasts, and through the public library. Do not let finances block you from bringing about change in your life.

Whether you consider yourself religious, spiritual, agnostic, or atheist, all people seek a meaningful life.
My coaching is not centered on any particular religious belief, however exploring religious and spiritual ideas is very welcome.
I’m a practicing Catholic and have strong interest in all world religions and philosophies, particularly Daoism and Buddhism.
To bring about deep personal change, we have to paradoxically accept both the limitations and the possibilities of life. This often requires us to accept that we only have limited agency.
Accepting that there is something greater beyond our control does not need to be a belief in a traditional image of God. As Barbara Brown Taylor said “These days when people tell me they don't believe in a higher power, it occurs to me, weather is a higher power.”
